MIT Animation Group

Providing opportunities for students to learn about and create animated films

The MIT Animation Group (MITAG) was founded in 2016 to provide opportunities for students to learn about and create animated films. The group’s first film, An Extra Dimension, had its official premiere at the Lecture Series Committee (LSC) Theater (26-100) November 3 and 4, 2017, and premiered on Vimeo November 11, 2017.

In addition, the group held its first animation class over the MIT Independent Activities Period (IAP) to teach core animation concepts with stop motion techniques.
