Joan Jonas, the professor emerita at MIT who’s representing the United States at the Venice Biennale, was visited Saturday by first lady Michelle Obama, her daughters, Sasha and Malia, and her mother, Marian Robinson. We’re told they spent an hour touring Jonas’s works, and that Malia, who was focused on Jonas’s videos, was always last to leave the room.
