MTA Playwrights Lab
MIT's new play festival
The MTA Playwrights Lab is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between MIT students and professional theater artists. The Lab is a weekend-long festival of staged readings featuring the work of the eight student writers in the Playwrights’ Workshop (21M.785) taught by Senior Lecturer Ken Urban.

Playwrights’ Workshop is led by MIT Senior Lecturer in Dramatic Writing Ken Urban. The first annual Playwrights Lab in 2018 was supported by funding from the council for the Arts at MIT.
