Since 1994, CAMIT members have participated in arts trips to foreign and domestic cities. Private collections, backstage visits, “hardhat” tours, and convivial meals are highlights of every trip, but perhaps the most treasured parts of each excursion are the friendships made and sustained between CAMIT members.
Recent destinations include San Francisco, Western Massachusetts, and Venice, Italy.

Honorary CAMIT members Sonja and Michael Koerner welcomed 40 CAMIT members, spouses, guests and MIT staff to the beautiful city of Toronto. Private collections, opera, music, architecture – the group saw it all. This very successful trip only whetted the collective CAMIT appetite for more travel!
The Pope visited Berlin the week of September 18th. So did the president of Turkey and the Council for the Arts at MIT. CAMIT’s visit was for four-and-a-half whirlwind days, from September 18th to 23rd, 2011. There were 40 of us – CAMIT members, friends, relatives and MIT staff members – and we were guided by two helpful local guides.
