FA19 Independent Study in Ceramics

Independent Study in Ceramics is full for the 2019-2020 academic year.  We will be accepting applications in late July/early August 2020 for the 2020-2021 academic year.  For more information on pursuing Independent Study or the application process, please contact Darrell Finnegan.

Ceramics students who enroll in Independent Study are granted access to the SAA clay studio to work independently, without guidance, outside of scheduled class time.  There are no formal meetings except a mandatory orientation on September 12, 2019 at 6pm where expectations will be set, studio maintenance tasks will be assigned, and perks will be discussed.

Access to the SAA clay studio includes equipment use and materials and the course fee covers unlimited individual access to the studio except during scheduled class times.  

A student at the independent study level should have their own tools, toolbox, and apron.
