IAP25 Introduction to Drawing Intensive

Day/Time: 3 Tuesdays starting January 14, 2:30-5:30 pm

This intensive introduction to drawing provides students with the tools to translate the observed world around them into a representational visual image. Students will engage with, and explore, a plethora of drawing methodologies such as mark-making, layering, additive/subtractive drawing, and the articulation of line, value, shape, volume, weight, gesture, and composition, and over three weeks, embark on a detailed study of a still life through the medium of charcoal.

Students do not need to purchase any supplies; materials fee of $25 covers the cost of shared materials.
