Day/Time: 8 Tuesdays starting June 21, 7:00-10:00pm
Location: SAA Ceramics Studio (W20-431)
Instructor: Darrell Finnegan
Your clay skills will be taken to another level while we explore advanced techniques such as altering, stretching, and cutting. Think ovals with oval lids or rim treatments that command attention. Feet and handle techniques, oozy slips, and various decorative methods for surface decoration will round out this popular course.
It is mandatory that you have taken beginner and intermediate level classes prior, though completion of those courses does not guarantee that you are at the advanced level. Should you have questions about the appropriate class for you to take, please be in touch with the instructor.
Tuition for ceramics classes includes a materials fee that helps cover the cost of clay, glazes, and firing.
*Having your own tools and apron is very important. Tool kits are available at Artist and Craftsman and Blick Art in Central Square. We will discuss various tools that you may want to add to your toolbox in time.
