This course covers the fundamentals of wheel throwing and processes typical of ceramics studio participation. Designed to build a strong foundation in ceramics, we will explore clay as a material, and focus on making basic forms including cups, bowls, and jars. As time and interest permits, we will also cover aspects of building with clay by hand, without the wheel. This class is great for beginners, and those looking to improve their skills.

Tuition for ceramics classes includes a materials fee that helps cover the cost of clay, glazes, and firing.

*Basic community clay tools are available for use but if you would like to purchase your own, tool kits are available at Artist and Craftsman and Blick Art in Central Square.
