SU23 Introduction to Drawing

This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals and processes of drawing. Students will engage with, and explore, a plethora of drawing methodologies such as mark-making, layering, additive/subtractive drawing, and the articulation of line, shape, volume, weight, gesture, and composition. Through exercises that are grounded in both observation and abstraction, students will gain technical skills, confidence, and a critical eye for representing various subject matters and concepts.
