Explore the basics of clothing construction and design, from inception to completion of a simple pullover top. Learn to draft a custom pattern, explore principles of fit, use a sewing machine and serger, and utilize finishing techniques intentionally. This class is intended for beginners interested in building a foundation in practical apparel construction skills; but more experienced sewists are also welcome and encouraged to bring their ideas.

The Voxel Lab space will be available for students for the duration of the course; plan to spend time outside of class working on your projects if possible. Plain fabric and notions will be provided; students may supply any additional materials desired.
