SU19 Drawing and the Visual Journal

Day/Time: 8 Mondays starting June 17, 4:30-7:00pm

Hand drawing is an expansive practice from observational drawing to mind mapping. Experiment with a variety of techniques to find your own path towards a regular practice of visual thinking. Learn fundamental skills derived from fine art drawing, simple cartooning, and illustration. Use photographs, collage and writing to collect and explore new material. Emphasis will be on process-oriented experimentation and building a creative habit. All skill levels welcome. Participants should be enthusiastic about working on their journal for some amount of time each day. Both paper and tablets will be used.
