Photo Essay: Arts Scholars at Hamilton

The Arts Scholars enjoy an unforgettable evening with the cast and crew of Hamilton‘s North American tour

Less than one month into the 2025 fall semester, the Arts Scholars have already gathered for three events, most recently an evening at Hamilton on tour in Boston. After the performance, Scholars joined the cast and crew in the front rows for an exclusive talkback, asking about vocal technique, choreography, and the creative choices behind specific staging moments. These conversations transform a night at the theater into direct engagement with the artists themselves, while giving students a chance to connect with others who share their interest in the arts.

The Arts Scholars program makes these experiences possible throughout the year. From behind-the-scenes tours of MIT’s new music facilities to front-row seats for Yo-Yo Ma’s complete Bach cello suites, from hands-on workshops in printmaking and fiber arts to intimate artist conversations, the program brings together MIT students for world-class arts experiences. New participants can join the mailing list at any time—the fall season is already underway, and there’s much more to come.
