Robert Stearns has a long career in product development and marketing, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate venturing at some of the world’s best-known computer and telecommunications companies. He has been involved in over fifty start-up companies as an employee, investor and/or board member. He is currently the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Sternhill Associates which provides private investment capital and management consulting services to early-stage companies in high tech, medical science and energy ventures.
Stearns co-founded and was a Managing Director of Sternhill Partners, a successful $100 million venture capital fund which invested in early stage high technology startups. Prior to Sternhill, Bob was the Chief Technical and Strategic Officer and a Senior Vice President of Technology and Corporate Development for Compaq Computer Corporation. He has also held senior level positions at McKinsey & Co., Motorola/Codex and Management Technologies. Bob serves on the advisory board of SparkCognition. He holds an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Chemistry from Brown University.
